ONE SMALL SEED NETWORK AWARDS: WINNERS
The time has come, our dearest friends, to announce the winners of the 2009 one small seed Network Awards. Last year was a remarkable one, and our network has grown from strength to strength. There have been so many remarkable uploads and members that we cannot possibly honour them all but we're amazed by each and everyone one of you and your remarkable talents. We have great faith that 2010 will build upon the successes of 2009 and that we will see even more talented members and even greater creative works on the network. All the 2009 award winners will appear in issue 18 of one small seed magazine.
Without further ado, the winners are....
The winner of the 2009 Best Photographer category is none other than Daniel van Flymen. He wins exposure in one small seed magazine, a SIGMA DP1, a two-year subscription to the magazine as well as a certificate to commemorate this achievement. Below is just a selection of images by Daniel.
The picture by Jessica Jones has been crowned the winner of 2009's Best Photograph - congratulations! She wins exposure in one small seed magazine, a SIGMA DP1, a two-year subscription to the magazine and a certificate honouring her achievement.
This year's Best Editorial Contributor award goes to the engaging Sarah Claire Picton. She has been award the opportunity to be contributing editor for several pages in the forthcoming issue of one small seed magazine, an Adobe course sponsored by Friends of Design, a two-year subscription to the magazine and a certificate. Congratulation to Chris Slabber, who has been selected as the winner of the Best Illustrator / Artist in the 2009 awards. He wins exposure in one small seed magazine, an Adobe course sponsored by Friends of Design, a two-year subscription to the magazine and a certificate.
The phenomenally talented and youthful Jessica Jones also wins in our 2009 Open Category. This year, it was decided that the Open Category award will go to the Best Young Photographer, and Jessica is a truly deserving winner. Along with her prizes for winning Best Photograph she will also win an Adobe course sponsored by Friends of Design. Congratulations!

A special thanks to all our jury - together some of the finest creative minds around. Our panel consists of Alistair King (Group Creative Director of King James), Bruno Zolezzi (founder of Infidels), Gavin Furlonger (from Hurricanes), and Giuseppe Russo (editor-in-chief of one small seed) - for their hours spent carefully examining over 1,000 images to select our winners.
To all our members keep an eye on the site as in the next few days we will be launching new & similar competition to honour you and your work.

Congrats to the winners, and everybody else making this award possible. Every member is an important element of the site, so thanks to all and i am looking forward to plan a nice big 2010 awards where we will have categories under photography, art design etc.. And who knows maybe a nice big venue with exhibition, music and much more :-) Thanks again !!
