With its Rastafarian appeal and cosy intimacy, Tings an’ Times has established itself as Pretoria’s most beloved live music venue. one small seed has two double tickets to give away to the Tings an’ Times 15th birthday Carnival on Saturday 4 December. Read on and win a double ticket!


On Saturday 4 December 2010, 15 years of good Tings an’ Times will be celebrated with Tings’ favourite local bands including Tidal Waves, Yesterday’s Pupil, Kidofdoom and Boo! With Dogbox darlings Moe Joe (Kidofdoom) and Doctor Khumalo (Hotbox) closing with a grand finale of dance hits.

In August 2008 Desmond and the Tutus were playing, and I didn't even remotely care.
I was having an amazing Catch a Fire (as usual) but could hardly taste it.
It was the most magical night of my life because of the company I was with.

That sort of happens a lot at Tings...

I remember a night when Kidofdoom played with that awesome ligting they used. When they were still promoting their first album.
Met some local PTA people who called everyone gay. Got drunk on some tequila give away. Every tequila you bought, you got a scratch card and you could win something. I think we won a whole bunch of quervo tagged shit, like hats and scarves.
Never a dull moment there.

it had to be on the night tidal waves launched their track rapolotiki...an awesome high energy filled night

The tidal waves EP launch! the place was packed, could barely move and there were some awesome DJs afterwards if i am not mistaken... alwasy good jamming to DJ Sasquatch though!
