THE CITY BOWL MIZERS & KABOUTER
The City Bowl Mizers have built up a reputation as one of South Africa's most energetic live acts, and their self-titled second album was one of the best-selling local releases of 2009. But its 2011 now and the boys are eager to show their still on top. Kabouter is a five-piece indie electro band formed out the ashes of Durban bands Passenger and Saturine. Now based in Cape Town, they've been busy in the studio with producer Charlie Murder recording their first EP.

LA. VI & DUSTLAND EXPRESS
Acoustic three-piece LA.VI have quickly made a name for themselves with their unique sound and a string of evocative performances, including a summer tour with Holiday Murray. This will be their debut on The Assembly stage, so be sure to check the next phase in the career of this intriguing band. Dustland Express have been steadily building a following and have now graduated to The Assembly stage. With their synth-laden guitar riffs and rousing power-pop hooks, Dustland Express are a band that packs energy and emotion into their music.
