With so many bland and unexciting adverts polluting the world's billboards it's always a pleasant surprise to come across examples of really fine outdoor advertising. While these are all international adverts, who has spotted some equally fine local outdoor ad campaigns lately? I have no doubt they're out there. For now, take a stroll through some of these international examples.

This campaign for Powerhouse Gym was set in a construction site and incorporated everyday elements with those of the adverts. There are several different images in the series and some posters were even plastered onto the sides of construction vehicles, taking the campaign to the roads.

An ad for Allstate Auto Insurance, this campaign features an actual car teetering on the edge of the parking garage of Marina Towers in downtown Chicago.

An absoloutely brilliant example of the work of Ogilvy & Mather in Chile.

This rather cute ad for Axe Deoderant was placed on the exterior of a girl's dormitory. Shaped to resemble a calendar, the advert worked with the brand expression that using the deoderant would enable the user to meet a new woman everyday of the week.

These are just some of my favourites (this time fro Odee.com). What are yours?
