Its been said vision controls our perception,but perception controls our reality.
what impanct does this on conceptual art and conceptual entities as ourselves.

I think vision goes beyond the mere physical act of 'seeing' and deep into our preconceptions. I may look at an old house and see a beauty waiting to be restored, someone else may see it as a wreck that needs to be demolished. The whole 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' is incredibly cliche i know, but also incredibly true.

And then you get people who notice things that the 'rest' of us don't. My father, who is a lighting designer for plays, notices light in all it's various hues and temperatures in a way that I don't. My best friend who's an artist sees colour and imagery in a way my brain doesn't register. But as a writer i pick up turns of word, phrases and certain moments in ways that they probably don't...
